    Why You Need It

One of the best ways to stay within your macros is to cook at home - and that includes fun drinks. It's so easy to make an iced white mocha at home too!

When you are craving both sugar and caffeine, this copycat Starbucks iced white chocolate mocha is exactly what you need. It has the same rich chocolate taste, topped with homemade whipped cream, and will jolt you awake (thanks to the espresso!).

Keep reading, and you'll discover just how simple this recipe is to make at home. I'll share my favorite tips with you - including some easy variations and more of my favorite keto Starbucks copycat recipes.

Being on the keto diet doesn't mean you have to miss out on enjoying your favorite drinks! When you want an iced white chocolate mocha, make it at home.

    The Drink's Ingredients

ingredients for the iced white chocolate mocha recipe.

There are just five simple ingredients in this iced white chocolate mocha recipe and that includes the ice! Here's more information about what I used to make this yummy drink.

    Keto Whipped Cream

You'll top the iced white chocolate mocha with some keto whipped cream. You can either buy sugar-free whipped cream at the store or make your own.

    Sugar-Free White Chocolate Chips

To make your own white chocolate sauce, you'll melt some sugar-free white chocolate baking chips. My go-to is from ChocZero!

    Almond Milk

Use unsweetened and unflavored almond milk to make the keto white chocolate sauce. This thins down the melted white chocolate chips, making it easier to pour the sauce into your iced mocha.

    Espresso

In order to make it a coffee drink, you need some sort of strong coffee. I prefer brewed espresso because it packs a caffeinated punch!

Instant coffee can also work; just make sure it is really strong.

Please note: Check out the recipe card at the bottom for a full list of ingredients used to make this low-carb recipe.

    Recipe Tips

    • Use an espresso machine. This is the easiest way to brew espresso. I have this machine in my kitchen.
    • Stir with a long-handled spoon. Many of the ingredients like to sit on the bottom of the cup.
    • Melt white chocolate chips carefully. If you don't want to use the microwave, you can melt them in a saucepan on the stove.

    Recipe's Instructions

There are just a few really simple steps involved - you'll have an iced white mocha in no time at all! It tastes like the Starbucks drink.

    1. Make the white chocolate sauce

First, place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl with two tablespoons of almond milk.

Microwave slowly - in 15-second increments - and stir in between each. Keep repeating this step until all the chips are melted.

    2. Add chocolate sauce to the mug

Pour the white chocolate sauce into your favorite coffee mug or glass. I like to pour it down all sides, so it slightly sticks to the cup.

    3. Add the espresso

Pour the espresso on top of the white chocolate sauce. Then, add the ice cubes and half a cup of almond milk. Stir this completely.

    4. Top with whipped cream

Top your iced white chocolate mocha with some whipped cream. There you have it! Your drink is ready to enjoy.

One sip, and you'll agree. This keto iced white chocolate mocha recipe has the most amazing and delicious flavor without added sugar.

    Serving Suggestions

I like to make and drink this iced white chocolate mocha whenever I am craving an iced coffee drink. You can serve it with your favorite keto baked dessert.

This would taste amazing with a low-carb scone. Talk about the classic coffee shop combination!

If you are going to drink it for breakfast, then make some keto egg bites on the side. Now you'll have an easy (and portable) high-protein breakfast.

Save this recipe for white chocolate mocha sauce because you can drizzle it on top of other things - like strawberries or keto blueberry donuts.

    Recipe Variations

There are a lot of different ways you can change up this recipe for iced white chocolate mocha.

If you don't like espresso and just want a quick coffee drink, just add your favorite cold brew coffee. Or, make a cup of regular coffee and let it cool completely before adding it to the iced cup with the homemade white chocolate sauce.

You can also make sweetened whipped cream. Just add a little bit of your favorite sugar-free sweetener to your whipped cream recipe.

Drizzle some sugar-free chocolate sauce on top to contrast the white whipped cream (and a richer flavor too). Or, add some sugar-free caramel sauce! The options are pretty endless.

    Recipe Common FAQs

Before we get to the printable recipe card, here are some questions people often ask about how to make it.

Can I use instant espresso powder instead of brewing espresso?

Yes, you can make an espresso drink with instant powder. The only difference is that brewed espresso has a rich and roasted flavor that instant powder lacks.

    Is oat milk keto?

No, oat milk is not keto-friendly. There are 16 grams of net carbs in one cup of oat milk.

How do you make cold foam?

You will need to mix some sugar-free vanilla syrup, whole milk, and heavy cream together in a cold foam blender.

Can you use cold brew instead of espresso?

Yes, this drink will taste delicious if you make it with cold brew iced coffee instead of espresso. My iced coffee recipe is really delicious, especially in the summer.
