    Why you'll love it

Sink your teeth into the most incredible keto breakfast sandwich you have ever tasted. Flaky crescent roll dough, crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese - it's a million times better than anything you can order from a drive-through.

Make a huge batch to keep in the freezer, and you'll have a delicious breakfast sandwich ready to go every morning.

There are a bunch of ways you can customize this sandwich. You'll be surprised that it is allowed on the keto diet as you eat it! It tastes just like something you would order from a coffee shop.

Keep reading to learn how to make these easy keto breakfast sandwiches. I'll also share more low-carb breakfast ideas later on too!

    Ingredients

    breakfast sandwich recipe ingredients.

There are a lot of different ways to make a keto breakfast sandwich. My version includes bacon, egg, and cheese.

    Keto crescent roll dough

The most important ingredient is the keto crescent roll. Use my keto crescent roll bread recipe to make your own.

It is made with low-carb and gluten-free food ingredients.

    Eggs

Add your favorite kind of egg to the sandwich. I used a fried egg because it stays on the sandwich better, making for a less messy breakfast sandwich.

    Cheddar cheese

Next, add a slice of your favorite type of cheese. Sharp cheddar cheese is the most popular type to use on breakfast sandwiches.

    Bacon

Whenever you use bacon on a keto diet, always use bacon that doesn't have any added sweeteners or sugar, including maple bacon.

    Butter

Either salted or unsalted butter will work in this recipe. You'll use the butter to create a non-stick surface, so the fried egg doesn't stick to the frying pan.

If you can't have dairy, you can always use ghee or coconut oil instead of butter.

Please note: Check out the recipe card at the bottom for a full list of ingredients used to make this low-carb recipe.

    Tips

    • Remove grease from the bacon. Drain the cooked bacon on a paper towel before you add it to your sandwich.
    • Prepare the baking sheet. Bake the crescent rolls on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, so they don't stick.
    • Serve keto breakfast sandwich hot. These sandwiches taste best when they are hot and with freshly melted cheese.

    Instructions

These keto breakfast sandwiches are super easy to make! All it takes is baking the crescent rolls and then assembling the sandwiches.

    Bake the crescent rolls

First, bake the crescent rolls. Roll out the dough and shape them into iconic crescent shapes.

Set them aside while you make the rest of the sandwich pieces.

    Fry the bacon

Use either a cast-iron skillet or electric skillet to fry your bacon. Set it aside on a paper towel and let the grease drain from the bacon.

    Fry the eggs

Next, make the fried eggs. Melt some butter in the skillet instead of using non-stick spray.

To keep your egg the perfect size for your sandwiches, use a metal cookie cutter or mason jar lid ring as a mold. Let the eggs fry inside of the rings.

pouring beaten egg into buttered ring in iron skillet.

Cook your eggs over medium heat. This allows the eggs to cook without burning.

    Layer the sandwiches

Add the cooked egg, bacon, and cheese to your crescent rolls.

At this point, you can choose to add your favorite spread or eat it just like it is.

    ️ Serving suggestions

This low-carb breakfast sandwich tastes perfect with any of your other favorite low-carb breakfast ideas.

Start out with a peppermint mocha latte. Then, add a keto cinnamon roll on the side!

If you would prefer something savory with this sandwich, fry up some sausage patties or some savory keto chaffles.

    Variations

There are a lot of different ways to make a savory breakfast sandwich. If you make any changes to this recipe, please let me know in the comments.

    • Use different bread. Any type of keto bread slices will taste deliciously layered with bacon, eggs, and cheese. Try it with some keto biscuits.
    • Fry up some sausage patties. Replace the bacon with a sausage patty or add a slice of deli ham to the sandwich.
    • Add them to your weekly meal prep. Store the sandwiches in an airtight container and eat them later on in the week.
    • Dial up the heat. Add some spicy hot sauce to the eggs while they are cooking.

    • 1 batch keto crescent roll dough
    • 4 large eggs
    • 4 Slices of Cheddar cheese
    • 4 Slices thick cut smoked bacon
    • 2 Tbsp. Butter

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
    • Divide the crescent roll dough into two even sections.
    • Roll one section out into a rectangular shape, and cut triangles from the dough as directed in the original recipe. • Place the tops and bottoms of the buns onto a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
    • While the buns are baking, cook the bacon until crispy.
    • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, and place metal egg molds or metal jar lids into the skillet. Lightly beat each egg, and pour it into one of the molds. Flip the eggs when solid inside the mold, and continue to cook until done to your liking.
    • Top the flat portion of each bun with one of the eggs, a slice of bacon cut in half, and a slice of cheddar cheese.
    • Add a top to each sandwich and serve.
