    Each recipe in these collections has up to 5 ingredients, with up to 5g net carbs per serving, and takes up to 5 steps to make. These recipes making following a low carb diet super easy!

    I have received copies of both the dinner and breakfast eCookbooks. And, Tasteaholics has allowed me to share a recipe from the Breakfast in Five eCookbook with my readers. The recipe I chose to share is the one for low carb coconut macadamia bars.

    Breakfast bars have always been a favorite treat for me. But, the ones that are commercially sold are full of junk. Luckily, it's super easy to make them at home!

    For this recipe, you only need five common low carb ingredients. You may have to go out for the macadamia nuts. Those were the only ingredient I didn't already have.

    To make the bars, there's only four steps. And, it's basically to combine all the ingredients, spread into a lined pan, refrigerate overnight, and then slice into bars. So simple!

    It may be the almond butter I used, but I found the bars to get really soft when taken out of the refrigerator. So, I ended up wrapping them individually and storing in the freezer. I preferred them frozen.

    This is just one of many super simple recipes you'll get in the Breakfast in Five eCookbook. A few of the other 5 ingredients or less recipes include blueberry pancakes, breakfast tacos, morning hot pockets, and maple pecan porridge. There's certainly enough variety to suite all tastes!

    The eCookbooks offered by Tasteaholics at Try Low Carb are perfect for those just getting started and don't have a lot of time for meal prep. Although developing low carb recipes has been a hobby over the last few years, most of my meals are basic recipes. The quick and easy recipes are the ones I tend to use most often.

    I wish I had these easy low carb recipe collections back when I was just getting started on the keto diet. It's was tough for me to find simple recipes to get through the day.     Coconut Macadamia Bars - Breakfast in Five

    Ingredients

    • 60 grams macadamia nuts
    • ½ cup almond butter
    • ¼ cup coconut oil
    • 6 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut
    • 20 drops Sweetleaf stevia drops
    US Customary - Metric

    Instructions

    • Crush the macadamia nuts a food processor or by hand.
    • Combine the almond butter, coconut oil and shredded coconut in a mixing bowl. Add the macadamia nuts and stevia drops.
    • Mix thoroughly and pour the batter into a 9x9 parchment paper lined baking dish.
    • Refrigerate overnight, slice and enjoy. (see note)

    Notes

    For crunchier bars, store the bars in the freezer.

      These are delish! I used walnuts since they're still low carb but also lower cost & yummy. And I scooped then into mini muffin cups, froze them, & dumped them into a freezer bag because that sounded easier than cutting & wrapping ? Worked like a charm!

      This looks good, and I apologize for the stupid question, considering the title, but....
      could you suggest something to substitute for the shredded coconut? I love coconut oil, but I have texture issues with actual dried flaked or shredded coconut. I can chew hard stuff like seeds or nuts etc, but I just gag on dried coconut flesh(Coconut flour is not a problem for me, go figure). It's actually embarrassing when I was enjoying a nice nut bar with friends and I look like I'm choking and then read the ingredient list to see coconut flakes. If this can't be made without it then I'll accept that, but all the other ingredients look great. or maybe there is a similar recipe you have. Thanks for all your effort and publishing these neat recipes.

        You could try adding in some collagen powder or whey protein powder. I'm not sure what else to recommend.

      I know there are carbs in it because of the nuts & coconut, but you don't list the carbs.

        I cut it into 8 bars before I realized it was made for 5 servings. I should have cut it into 10 smaller bars.

          Yes. I ended up with 6 bars from the recipe so number of servings should be 6.
